EANonline service

Our users have the possibility to use the EANonline service, which includes a presentation template for product pages whose web address is in GS1 Digital Link format.

The EANonline GS1 Digital Link service currently operates in Direct link mode. All our users who are registered on the EANonline platform can use this service.

To use the product template, you need to do the following:

1. On the My Numbers page in EANonline, select Add Product.
2. Enter the basic details of the product you want to publish.
3. Submit a request for publication of product data.
4. Wait for the request to be approved.

If the application is not approved, the requested changes to the entered product data must be made.

Once your application has been approved, the ' Presentation' button will be available on the main EANonline page and you will be redirected to the catalogue list of approved published products. By clicking on a product in the catalogue you will be redirected to the page presenting the product with the entered data. The URL of the generated product page is in GS1 Digital Link format.

Advantages

• Both the data and the template are hosted on the EANonline platform. You do not need to run your own website or your own GS1 Digital Link resolver.
• The URL from EANonline can be extended with data in parameters, such as production and consumption dates, which can be processed at the checkout.

Disadvantages

• The EANonline platform is currently unable to handle URLs containing a path with multiple components. The URL path can only contain the GTIN identifier of the product.
• The parameters in the URL are only processed at checkout. They are not displayed on the product page in EANonline service.
